The Soviet multi-purpose fighter MiG-29, the prototype of which made its first flight back in 1977, became one of the most popular combat aircraft of the post-war period. It is or was in service in more than 30 countries of the World.
Before the collapse of the Soviet Union, the MiG-29 was widely exported to the Warsaw Pact member states and third world countries. And after 1991, owners from the former republics of the USSR and new NATO members from Eastern Europe joined the sale of the popular fighter, as a result of which the geography of its operators expanded even more. This review presents MiG-29 fighters from twenty-two countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and America, where they are still in service.
